Food has always been both my passion and profession. No surprise, I graduated at Hotelschool The Hague, I worked in the food industry ever since, at companies like De Krat and Crisp. I was (and still am) shocked to see how ultra-processed foods dominate our choices, and how far we’ve drifted from real, nourishing food.
For years I thought I was eating healthily, yet I struggled with eczema and digestive issues. Only when I changed the way I ate, everything shifted: my skin healed, my gut calmed down, my energy and mood lifted. The fact that food could have such a profound impact on body and mind fascinated me and it still does!
I went on to deepen my knowledge at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, specialising in Gut Health. With Happygut Food, I now combine my food background, business mindset and drive to create change. I help people and organisations reconnect with real food: translating science into practical choices, developing gut-friendly recipes and concepts, and creating food environments that truly support wellbeing.
Because I’ve experienced it myself: when our gut thrives, we thrive too.
